Lenovo Unveils IdeaPad Y560D 3D Laptop

Submitted by admin on June 26, 2010 – 12:32 pmNo Comment

Lenovo has just unveiled its first 3D-enabled laptop – the IdeaPad Y560d, which will be available by the end of June 2010. It comes with a 15.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution. Thanks to Lenovo’s “TriDef” technology, the IdeaPad Y560d is apparently capable of transforming old videos and stills to 3D. Howover, it does not support 3D Blu-ray movies.

As with all the other 3D laptops so far you need a special pair of polarized glasses to view in 3D, but they are included in the package. In terms of hardware IdeaPad Y560d comes with a range of Core i3, i5 and i7 processors (configurable) and gamers should be interested in the fact that it comes with a dedicated ATI Radeon HD 5730 graphics card with 1GB of video memory – a capable upper mid-range GPU that is sufficient for all recent games. The hard drive and RAM options are up to 750GB 8GB, respectively. All in all, this might turn out to be a competitor to the Asus G51J 3D laptop.
